Summer holidays activity for young people – Garston Station wildlife-friendly community garden design

11 July 2024

Our cut-paste-draw Activity Sheets are free to pick up from The Random Café or can be downloaded to print at home.

Garston Station is about to be transformed with a new wildlife-friendly community garden.

Thanks to the Abbey Line Community Rail Partnership, ground clearance of the patch of derelict land behind the station platform is underway.

We’re now inviting local young people to input into the design of the garden – what wildlife-friendly features should we include, and what should we call the garden? We’ll look at all the suggestions and include what we can!

Cut-paste-draw Activity Sheets are free to pick up from The Random Café (check opening times) or can be downloaded to print at home here.

Completed sheets can be handed back to The Random Café , or take a photo and email it back to us. We’ll display as many as we can here.

Have you adults got suggestions too? We’d love to hear from you.

Once our consultation period is complete, we will be inviting local community groups to care for sections of the land – making it a vibrant new place to enjoy time in nature, as well as learning about and enhancing biodiversity.

To get involved, please get in touch.
