Spring-flowering bulbs are planted at Garston Station Wildlife Garden
4 November 2024
Thanks to Passport to Leisure group for their help
Passport to Leisure – a group of adults with learning disabilities – helped out at the Garston Station wildlife-friendly community garden today.
They engaged in various tasks at the newly-established garden, including planting spring-flowering bulbs, clearing the ground and litter picking.
The snowdrops, winter aconites, daffodils, grape hyacinths, and wild tulips will be a welcome sight for the community come spring, and importantly will create a haven for pollinators such as bees and butterflies.
Work progresses at the site over the next month or so and then again in the spring.
