Inspire Engineering Days
Supporting Futures Academy Watford
Last week, we were proud to support Community Rail colleagues taking two groups of Year 9 students from Futures Academy, Watford into London for Inspire Engineering Days. These took place at the London Transport Museum’s Acton Depot during Tomorrow’s Engineers Week.
The students explored careers in rail and engineering through hands-on activities, including designing their own sustainable city and interviewing STEM Ambassadors from Transport for London.
They also enjoyed a guided tour of the depot and will receive a CREST Discovery Award from the British Science Association for their participation.
For many, this was their first experience travelling on the London Underground -an exciting highlight that added to a memorable day!
A big thank you to all involved and to Avanti West Coast’s Feel Good Futures project for making these opportunities possible.
At the Abbey Line CRP, we’re passionate about inspiring young people and showing how rail can play a vital role in sustainable transport and future careers.
