We were treated to a flypast by a Lancaster Bomber at this year’s Armed Forces Day at Bricket Wood today – what a privilege.
And because it’s Railway 200, we treated fair-goers to a free ride on a mini-locomotive, courtesy of the North London Model Engineers – such fun, thank you guys!
Lots of great chats with local residents, and with Deputy-Lieutenant Mark Bretton, about the Abbey Line, collecting more Abbey Line Tales and getting quizzical – with a prize of a return trip on the Abbey Line and tea for two at the Tea Room at Bricket Wood Station.
The quiz prize draw will be held tomorrow, and we will be informing the lucky winner as soon as possible.
Thanks to St Stephens Parish Council for hosting such a wonderful event – very happy vibes!
Next stop the Cottonmill Gathering in two weeks time, where we do it all again – we love it. We hope to see you there.
