New accessible pathways

Exciting news for Garston Station wildlife-friendly community garden in #CommunityRailWeek !
The Abbey Line Community Rail Partnership has just completed the latest phase of work, installing new accessible pathways to make the space easier for everyone to enjoy.

This space – on Network Rail land – will support biodiversity while offering volunteering opportunities, educational visits, and helping build pride in the local area.
By transforming the space, we also aim to create a more cared-for environment that can help reduce anti-social behaviour.

Access will be for approved groups – including a local residents group – with sessions run safely to Network Rail guidelines, and opportunities for organised public open days.
Next steps: a new gate, water supply, raised beds, planting!
