Abbey Line CRP Celebrates Community Connections

At Park Street Residents’ Association 60th Anniversary Fete

We were delighted to take part in the Park Street Residents’ Association’s 60th Anniversary Fete, joining local organisations and residents for a day of celebration, community spirit and family fun.

The Abbey Line CRP stall proved popular, offering opportunities to learn more about local rail travel, community rail initiatives and railway safety. A particular highlight was our Quick Quiz, which challenged participants’ knowledge of Community Rail, local history and sustainable travel. With correct answers going into a prize draw for Tea for Two at The Tea Room At Bricket Wood – there were plenty of participants eager to win!

Adding to the excitement of the day, the Abbey Line CRP was proud to sponsor the mini-train which transported smiling passengers up and down the event for free, and proved to be one of the most popular attractions. The miniature railway captured the imagination of both children and adults, creating a strong railway theme throughout the celebration.

Throughout the fete, volunteers and CRP representatives spoke with residents about the Abbey Line, sustainable travel opportunities and the role community rail plays in connecting people and places. The celebrations showcased the strong community spirit that has been at the heart of the Park Street Residents’ Association for the past 60 years.

The Abbey Line CRP would like to congratulate the Park Street Residents’ Association on reaching this impressive milestone and organising such a successful event.
