At its Annual General Meeting
The Abbey Line Community Rail Partnership held its Annual General Meeting on 16 June at the Abbey Theatre in St Albans, bringing together partners, volunteers and stakeholders to reflect on the achievements of the past year and look ahead to future projects.
The AGM celebrated what has been a landmark year for the partnership, marking both the Abbey Line CRP’s 20th anniversary and the national Railway 200 celebrations. Highlights included an award-winning communications campaign, growing community partnerships, sustainable travel initiatives, accessibility engagement and increasing volunteer involvement.
During the meeting, Steve Cavinder was re-elected as Chair and Val Male was elected as Vice-Chair for 2026/27. Attendees also heard from guest speaker Ian Port, Chair of Proud Watford, who spoke about the importance of creating places without prejudice and the value of partnership working to promote inclusion.
The Abbey Line CRP would like to thank all its volunteers, partners and supporters who have contributed to another successful year of connecting communities with their railway and looks forward to continuing this work in the years ahead.
