The Abbey Line Santa Train Event is back this year !

The award-winning Abbey Line Community Rail Partnership Presents 

The Abbey Line Santa Express on Sunday 11th December 22                            

All welcome on Santa’s festive train on the Abbey Line to meet Santa and his elves. There'll be live music and host of activities on the train. Also, courtesy of London Northwestern Railway, you can use your train ticket all day on the Abbey line, so why not explore 'Winter in Watford or Christmas shopping in St Albans.

Frequently asked questions

Important – Please be considerate and do not book spaces on both trains if you only intend to travel on one. Double bookings may be cancelled.

Q. How many tickets can I book?

A. You can book maximum of 4 tickets. Each person attending needs their own ticket. So, if you book 1 and attend with other people, we can only admit one person.

As tickets are pre-booked, we cannot admit more than the capacity.

Q. Can I pre-book or reserve seats on the train?

A. Unfortunately, seats cannot be reserved for the event.

Q. Where can I join the Santa train?

A. There are two trains, one that starts in St Albans at 11.42am and ends at 12.23pm and one that starts from Watford junction at 13.07pm and ends at 13.45pm. (these are round trip journeys).

You can use your ticket to travel to either of these stations to join at the start of the event or join at any of the Abbey line stations if you prefer.

Q. Do I need a train ticket?

A. Yes, this is a scheduled train service and tickets are required. You can purchase this at your local station or online Under 5’s travel free, and thanks to the train operator you can use your ticket ALL day on 11th December 22 on the Abbey line.

Q. Can I cancel my ticket if I can no longer attend?

A. Yes, you can. Please cancel, so we can offer the ticket to another family.

Q. DO I need an event ticket?

A. Yes, please book this on our website via the link above / Facebook. Search for the Abbeyline CRP on Eventbrite. Please bring a copy or you can show it from your phone.

Q. What if the train service is cancelled?

A. If the train service has to be cancelled by the train operator due to circumstances beyond their control, unfortunately, the event will also be cancelled. We will post this on our social media accounts and the service cancellation will also be on London Northwestern Railway’s website. Please follow us on Facebook and twitter to be kept in the know. We will do our best to email all guests.
